My sister's recipe that is great for casual parties. Ingredients:
2 large onions (quartered) |
1/4 cup butter |
3 -4 lbs boneless bottom round roast |
5 cups water |
1/2 cup soy sauce |
1 envelope onion soup mix |
1 clove garlic (minced) |
12 -14 french rolls (split) |
2 cups shredded swiss cheese |
Directions:
1. Saute Onions in Butter till tender. 2. Transfer to Slow Cooker. 3. Cut Roast in half and place on top of Onions. 4. Combine Soy Sauce, Water, Soup Mix and Garlic. 5. Pour over Roast. 6. Cook 7-9 hours on low. 7. Remove Roast and let stand for 15 minutes. 8. Thinly slice meat and place on Rolls. 9. Sprinkle with Cheese and place under Broiler till Cheese melts. 10. Serve Juice as a Dipping Sauce. |
