Different and delicious Chicken Stew. From Mixing Bowl. Ingredients:
4 c sliced button and/or shitake mushrooms |
1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes,undrained |
2 medium carrots,thinly bias-sliced |
1 med. round red potato cut in 1 pieces |
1/2 c 1' pieces fresh green beans |
1/2 c pitted ripe olives,halved |
1 c chicken broth |
1/2 c dry white wine or chicken broth |
2 tbs quick-cooking tapoca |
1 tsp hebs de provence or italian srsoning,crushed1/4 tsp fresf ground pepper |
8 boneless ,skinless chicken thighs (1-3/4 to 2 lbs total) |
1/2 tsp seasoned salt |
1 14 oz jar tomato-base pasta sauce or one 16 oz jar alfredo pasta sauce |
french bread (optonal) |
Directions:
1. In a 5 to 6 qt slow cooker,combine mushrooms,tomatoes,carrots,onion,potato,green beans,olives, broth wine,tapioca,herbes de provence,thyme and pepper. Place chicken on top;sprinkle with seasoned salt. Cover;cook on low setting 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. Stir in pasta sauce. Serve with French bread. |
