I don't know why they call this French chicken because it's gorgonzola that gives it it's secret splash, but it's superb no matter what the nationality. Ingredients:
1lb. boneless,skinless chicken breasts,cut in thirds |
1tbs. butter |
4oz. gorgonzola cheese,cut in small pieces |
1 garlic clove,minced |
1tbs. chopped fresh dill |
1/2c dry white wine |
1/2c sour cream |
Directions:
1. Brown chicken on both sides in butter. Transfer chicken to a baking dish. Add cheese, garlic and dill to pan drippings and stir until cheese softens. Add the white wine and sour cream and stir until well blended. 2. Pour the cheese sauce over the chicken, cover the baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 mins or just till the chicken is cooked through and sauce is bubbly. Serve sprinkled with dill sprigs. |
