Basically like a muffin. Warm, sweet, and delicous. These are perfect for breakfast on the weekends. They're so easy but taste so good. Your family will love you for making these. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional) |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1/2 cup milk |
1/3 cup melted margarine |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
3 tablespoons melted margarine |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. 3. Combine liquid ingredients in a medium bowl. 4. Combine the two in the larger bowl and stir briefly. DO NOT over mix, the batter will be lumpy. 5. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full with batter. 6. Bake for 15 minutes. 7. While puffs are baking:. 8. Combine the sugar and cinnamon. 9. Melt margarine in microwave for 1 minute. 10. Remove puffs from oven immediatley. 11. Dip tops into margarine and then into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. 12. Serve warm. |
