This is a yummy bread pizza, except it's French style. Ingredients:
1 large long french baguette |
3 tablespoons tomato puree |
8 ounces drained and sliced can tomatoes |
1 teaspoon dried oregano or 1 teaspoon marjoram |
4 ounces cheddar cheese |
2 ounces drained anchovies packed in oil |
4 ounces crumbled cooked bacon |
4 black onions |
Directions:
1. Cut a French stick in half a length-ways and then in half a cross-ways on a slant. Place a slice of bread on a pre-heated hot grill, then toast the surfaces that are supposed to be cut until golden. 2. Spread the surfaces that are suppose to be cut with tomato puree, tomatoes, herbs, and cheddar. 3. Arrange those anchovy fillets over the cheddar cheese on half of the French bread pizzas, and bacon slices on the rest. Garnish with some olives. 4. Place the French bread pizzas under a pre-heated moderate heat grill and cook for ten minutes, until golden and bubbly. Serve, hot. |
