French Baby Beans, Baby Brown Pearl Mushrooms Topped With Almond |

The food store had these baby vegies I just had to buy. I they were tender crisp! The mushrooms I know will be hard to find and I see no reason why you can't use any mushroom. Simple and good! Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
3 ounces baby brown pearl mushrooms, cut in half |
8 ounces baby french beans, sliced in half |
1 small onion, diced |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1/2 small red pepper, cut into thin slices |
1 pinch sugar |
salt and pepper, to taste |
1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds |
Directions:
1. In a large pan heat oil add onions, mushrooms, beans, garlic, red pepper stirring till onions are translucent. 2. Add sugar,salt and pepper and 1/8 cup water cover and let simmer till water is gone. 3. Plate and top with almonds. |
