My mom's best freezer strawberry recipe. We grew up on these. They're great when added, partially thawed, to winter fruit salads. YUMMY! Enjoy! Ingredients:
4 quarts strawberries, fresh,hulled (whole or halved) |
3 cups sugar |
1 package dry dry pectin |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar& pectin together. 2. Add 1 c. 3. at a time to strawberries, and stir. 4. (may not need all of the sugar/pectin) The strawberries should set long enough to create their own juice (no harm in waiting an hour or more) Freeze in containers of desired size. 5. The berries will stay firm! |
