Apple tart that is quick to make by using a ready-to-use pie crust. Ingredients:
1 ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust |
4oz. cream cheese, softened (could use neufchatel cheese) |
3 red and/or green apples, thinly sliced |
1/4c granulated sugar |
2t flour |
1t cinnamon sugar |
1c thawed cool whip whipped topping ( could use light whipped topping) |

for each teaspoon of cinnamon sugar, mix 3/4t granulated sugar and 1/4t ground cinnamon. |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 450F. Line 9-inch pie plate with crust. Carefully spread cream cheese in 6-inch circle in center. 2. Toss apples with sugar and flour; spoon over cream cheese. Fold crust partially over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. 3. Bake 25 minutes, covering loosely with foil for the last 5 minutes. Cool. Serve with cool whip. Refrigerate leftovers. |
