I'm saving this on 'Zaar...a dijon viniagrette suited to our tastes. Serve on a bed of greens w/ sliced cherry tomatoes,shredded carrots,thinly sliced red onions, sliced red pepper, and dried cranberries. To save time, I sometimes pick up a package of fresh salad fixins' from the store. Ingredients:
1 garlic clove, pressed |
1 shallot, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons dijon mustard |
1/4 cup red wine vinegar |
1 cup extra virgin olive oil |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper |
1 tablespoon honey |
Directions:
1. In a bowl add garlic, shallot, mustard, and vinegar. 2. Whisk all together until blended. 3. Add olive oil in a steady stream while whisking continuously. 4. Add honey, salt, and pepper to taste. 5. Enjoy w/your salad. |
