This simple recipe was given by Frank Alviso, an enthusiastic fan of Mexican food. Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise |
1 cup sour cream |
2 cups canned black olives, drained and chopped |
1 1/2 cups green onions, finely chopped |
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped |
1/2 cup fresh lime juice |
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped |
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix mayonnaise and sour cream in medium bowl to blend. 2. Add olives, onions, cilantro, lime juice, garlic and 1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce. Season with salt and pepper. 3. Taste, adding more hop pepper sauce if desired. 4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until well chilled, at least 1 and up to 8 hours. 5. Serve dip with tortilla chips. |
