For ghosts who like to nibble. This is a traditional Transylvanian recipe. Best when served after dark. Ingredients:
vegetable oil cooking spray |
1/4 cup chopped fresh scallions, greens included |
1 tablespoon curry powder |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 dash ground cinnamon |
16 fluid ounces plain yogurt |
1/4 cup finely chopped golden raisin |
Directions:
1. Lightly coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray. 2. Add the scallions and place over low heat. 3. Sauté until the onion is limp, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Stir in the curry powder, ginger, and cinnamon. 5. Stir and cook for another 30 seconds, until spices are fragrant. 6. Stir the scallion-spice mixture into the yogurt. 7. Add the raisins, mixing well. 8. Transfer the mixture to a serving dish. 9. Serve with raw vegetables. |
