I found a cookbook that my mother in law Helen had. It is Better Homes and Gardens: So Good with Fruit and the date on the book is 1967. So I will be posting a bunch of recipes from the book so I don't lose them. Ingredients:
1/4 cup chopped onion |
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine |
4 cups pork and beans in tomato sauce |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon mustard |
1 lb frank |
3 pineapple slices, cut in half |
1 tablespoon pineapple syrup |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon mustard |
Directions:
1. Cook onion in butter till tender. 2. Add beans, ketchup and mustard; bring to boil; pour into 11x7x1/2 inch baking dish. 3. Arrange franks and pineapples slices atop. 4. Blend remaining ingredients; spread over franks and pineapple. 5. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes or till hot. |
