Ingredients:
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter or margarine |
3/4 cup evaporated milk |
pinch of salt |
pinch of baking soda |
Directions:
1. Combine brown sugar and butter in top of a double boiler; place over boiling water and cook, stirring frequently, until butter melts. Add evaporated milk, salt, and soda; stir until well blended. Continue cooking over boiling water, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and sauce is thoroughly heated. Serve sauce warm over ice cream. |
