This recipe is adapted from a Martin Yan cookbook. It is easy enough for every day, but has very sophisticated Chinese-influenced flavors. Enjoy! Ingredients:
4 pork chops (thin, boneless or bone in) |
2 -3 tablespoons canola oil |
4 tablespoons white wine |
4 tablespoons soy sauce |
1/2 cup apple juice |
4 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1 teaspoon chopped garlic (apprx. 1 clove) |
1 teaspoon chopped ginger |
2 tablespoons applesauce |
Directions:
1. 1. Marinate pork chops for up to 2 hours. 2. 2. Saute chops for approximately 2 minutes on each side over medium high heat until golden brown. 3. 3. Combine sauce ingredients and mix well. Pour over chops and simmer over low heat until thickened, approximately 5 minutes. |
