Four-Cheese Italian with Garlic Basil Sauce |

This simple Italian dish is a flavorful and cheesy take on an old favorite. Garlic and basil complement four-cheese sausage in a dish no one can resist. Ingredients:
1 (19.76 ounce) package johnsonville® four-cheese italian sausage links |
1 medium onion, finely chopped |
1 tablespoon minced garlic |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
3/4 cup frozen peas |
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 (14 ounce) can reduced-sodium chicken broth |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil |
hot cooked angel hair pasta |
Directions:
1. Cook sausage according to package directions; cut in half lengthwise and into thin slices. 2. In a skillet, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until tender. Add peas. Combine the cornstarch, broth and pepper until smooth; stir into onion mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in sausage and basil. Serve over pasta. |
