This recipe makes 10 large or 16 small meringues. Ingredients:
4 egg whites |
1 tsp. vanilla |
1 1/3 c. sugar |
1 tsp. vinegar |
Directions:
1. Beat egg whites slightly. 2. Add sugar. Beat until very stiff. 3. Add 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. vinegar. 4. Shape onto brown paper bag that has been cut to fit baking sheet. 5. Place in oven that has been preheated to 425. 6. Immediately turn off oven. 7. Leave at least 3 hours or overnight. 8. Yield 10 large or 16 small meringues. |
