I don't know where the name came from but nice,easy cake to serve with berries and cream or ice cream. Ingredients:
3 egg whites |
1/4 tsp cream of tarter |
3/4 c sugar |
dash salt |
1/2 tsp vanilla |
Directions:
1. In an electric mixer,beat egg whites till foamy. Add cream of tarter and continue beating till stiff. Add the sugar,a Tbs at a time,as you continue beating the whites. Add salt and vanilla. 2. Spread mixture into well greased 9 baking pan and place in a preheated 450 degree oven and immediately turn oven off. 3. Leave the cake in overnight or at least till oven has completely cooled down. 4. Remove from pan and serve with ice cream,berries and/or whipped cream. |
