I am always hearing people complain about how their rice never turns out right. Here is a simple recipe for basic rice that turns out right every time. No fancy contraption needed- just a simple pot with a lid! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water |
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil or 1 teaspoon butter |
1 pinch kosher salt |
1 cup jasmine rice |
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil. 2. Add oil, salt, and rice. Stir, cover with lid, and reduce heat to low. 3. Simmer for 15 minutes. 4. Turn off heat, remove lid, and fluff with a fork. Serve immediately. |
