I am always hearing people complain about how their rice never turns out right. Here is a simple recipe for basic rice that turns out right every time. No fancy contraption needed- just a simple pot with a lid! Ingredients:
2 cups water |
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil or 1 teaspoon butter |
1 pinch kosher salt |
1 cup long grain brown rice |
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil. Add oil, salt and rice. Stir, reduce heat to low, cover with lid and simmer for 45 minutes. Turn off heat, remove lid, and fluff with a fork. Serve immediately. |
