Fool Mdammas Or Fava Beans In Lemon Juice |

A very unique Lebanese recipe for Fava Beans. When I made this I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasently surprised Ingredients:
1 lbs. small dried fava/broad beans, soaked overnight |
2 cloves garlic, crushed |
1/2 cup olive oil |
juice of 1 lemon |
1 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp black pepper |
Directions:
1. Drain beans and place in a large saucepan. 2. Cover well with water, bring to a boil. Cover, turn down heat and simmer, adding more water and stirring when necessary, until the beans are tender. Approximately 45 minutes. 3. Drain beans and mix in the crushed garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. 4. Serve hot or cold. |
