Received this from a friend...it is amazing to have with after dinner drinks. Enjoy! :) Ingredients:
1 cup heavy cream |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup cocoa powder |
1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1/4 cup corn syrup |
16 oz dark chocolate, preferably more than 70% cocoa, chopped |
Directions:
1. Bring the first 5 ingredients just to a boil in a heavy sauce pan. 2. Turn off the flame and add the chocolates, stirring until completely dissolved. 3. This will make a makes a pretty thick chocolate. If you want to thin it a bit, just add some milk until you get a desired consistency. 4. You could also add hazelnut paste to make a nice gianduja fonduta. 5. Serve in a ramekin or fondue pot (if doubling) 6. Serve with biscotti, tuille, marshmallow, or even fruits and berries. 7. **I have kept this warm on a grill for an outside party** |
