A meal in one foil wrapped package Ingredients:
1 -1 1/2 lb beef round steak, 1/2 inch thick |
1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas |
4 medium carrots |
4 medium potatoes, pared |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup |
1 (1 1/2 ounce) envelope onion soup mix |
8 cherry tomatoes |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 450°. 2. Cut meat into 1 pieces. 3. Place frozen peas in colander or sieve; run cold water over peas just until broken apart; drain. 4. Tear off 4 pieces heavy-duty aluminum foil, each 18x15 . 5. On center of each piece, place 1 carrot, thinly sliced, 1 potato, cut into quarters, and 1/4 of the meat. 6. Stir together mushroom soup and onion soup mix; spoon soup mixture over meat and top with peas. 7. Wrap securely in foil; place on ungreased baking sheet. 8. Bake 50 minutes or until meat is tender. 9. Just before serving, garnish each dinner with two cherry tomatoes, halved. 10. Makes 4 servings. |
