This is a recipe I received from Mom right after I got married. They're the only pancakes my family cooks. Both my sons make them, and one son even introduced them to his in-laws when he lived in China. Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 tablespoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
5 tablespoons butter or margarine |
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
2 cups whole milk |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients. 2. Add remaining ingredients & stir together. 3. Drop by 1/2 cup onto hot ungreased griddle. 4. When there are a lot of bubbles on top, turn. 5. Remove when golden brown. |
