Rich and delicious mocha frosting. Recipe is my mother-in-law's. Ingredients:
4c sifted confectioners sugar |
1/3c butter,creame |
1/4c cocoa |
1/4tsp salt |
1/3c strong coffee |
1tsp vanilla |
3/4c chopped,toasted walnuts |
Directions:
1. Resift sugar with cocoa and salt. Add part of this mixture to creamed butter gradually;blend after each addition;then add remaining sugar mixture alternately with coffee,beating smooth after each addition until right consistancy for spreading;blend in vanilla.. 2. Spread over top and sodes of cake. Press walnuts into frosting on sides of cake |
