Fluffy Fried Rice Iron Chef Style |

inspired by iron chef, taken from the challenger (WHO LOST) but whose rice was delicious. for those interested, it was battle GIANT LOBSTER. Ingredients:
1/2 cup rice |
1 cup water |
1 egg |
one chopped green onion |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. prepare rice as directed on the package - we usually bring the cup of water to a boil and then add the rice and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. 2. when the rice is done, let it cool for a minute or two before adding the egg 3. mix the egg and rice (doing this before adding it in the pan makes sure the rice won't stick together and stays fluffy) 4. heat oil in a frying pan and add the chopped scallions 5. fry the egg and rice mixture till crispy and delicious! 6. mmm fried rice |
