This is a really nice salad to make for a nice luncheon, or before a meal. It's very versitile, and you can even dress it up further with slices of avocado and some elegant crackers. You may opt not to use the lemon juice. I like it because it just adds a brightness to the dish; a nice fresh flavor. Cooling time is cook time. Ingredients:
1 lb lump crabmeat, carefully sorted and cleaned |
1 tablespoon mayonnaise |
1/3 stalk celery, chopped fine |
1/2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional) |
4 large tomatoes |
romaine lettuce leaf |
Directions:
1. Directions:. 2. In a mixing bowl, blend crabmeat, mayonnaise, celery, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice, if using. Chill for at least 1 hour. Hollow out the 4 large fresh tomatoes. Fill with crab mixture. Serve on top of fresh Romaine lettuce leaves. |
