This is for the total chocolate lover. So if I've stolen your recipe, I'm sorry. Its my husbands favorite and I'd just thought I'd share. Every time I've made this for parties its been hit. Its a super chocolate cake. Ingredients:
6 eggs |
12 ounces chocolate |
2 cups sugar |
1/2 lb butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) or 1 teaspoon raspberry extract (optional) or 1 teaspoon orange extract (optional) or 1/2 teaspoon mint extract (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 350°F.
2. In a double boiler melt butter and chocolate, and let cool.
3. Whip eggs and sugar with and electric mixer / beater till soft peaks (this works best if the bowl is cold also).
4. Slowly fold chocolate mix into egg mix with extract if desired.
5. When well blended. Delicately fill a buttered 9 *13 cake pan or 2 9 rounds with batter.
6. Bake 350 F, 30 to 45 minutes until browned and solid to the touch.
7. Serve alone or with fresh whipped cream.
