SBD P1 Ingredients:
1 3/4 dried garbanzo beans |
2 garlic cloves |
1 small onion |
1 teaspoon ground coriander |
1 tablespoon ground cumin |
1 cup chopped cilantro |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
canola oil, for pan frying |
Directions:
1. Soak chickpeas in 4 inches of water for 24 hours. 2. Drain beans and transfer to a blender will all other ingredients. Process until smooth, scraping the sides often. (Add 1-2 tbsp water if necessary, but keep mixture as dry as possible). 3. Heat oil to 350. 4. Form mixture into balls or patties on each side until browned, not more than 5 minutes. |
