1 large yellow onion |
1 pkg. onion soup mix |
2-1/2 cup water |
4 tbsp. grated monterey jack cheese |
Directions:
1. Peel away outer layer of onion and cut off ends. Slice halfway through the onion from top to bottom so that when you then slice rings, the pieces open up to long strips of onion. 2. Prepare soup mix as instructed on package, adding an extra half cup of water. Add cut onion, simmer until done. 3. Serve with one Tbsp. of cheese sprinkled on top. The melted cheese reminds some people of gooey guts. |
