Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup buttermilk
Directions:
1. heat oven to 425*F.
2. in large bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. cut in shortening until crumbly.
3. stir in buttermilk just until moistened.
4. turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead until smooth.
5. roll out dough to 3/4 thickness.
6. cut into 8 (2 ) biscuits, place 1 apart on cookie sheet.
7. bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned.
