Five Spice Cajun Shrimp Soup |

Low fat and delicious...I sort of threw it together the other day for lunch Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
3 cups shrimp |
1 cup diced onion |
1 table spoon minced garlic |
6 cups water or 6 cups chicken broth |
1 cup shredded carrot |
1 (8 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1 teaspoon cilantro |
1 teaspoon parsley |
salt |
pepper |
hot sauce (i liked alot) |
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in pan 2. Add garlic, onion, shrimp and spices. Saute until onion and garlic are soft. 3. Add water/broth, undrained tomatoes and carrots. Bring to a boil. 4. Lower eat and simmer for an hour. Just before its ready, add salt, pepper and hot sauce. 5. Enjoy! |
