This Indian dish has such an aromatic rich flavor. It isn't particularly hot so those of you who love Indian dishes but prefer the less hot dishes this is a perfect recipe for you. Ingredients:
1 pound red snapper or white fish, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes |
2 ounces plain yogurt |
2 t wok oil or other cooking oil |
2 t paprika |
1 t ground cumin |
1 t ground fennel seeds |
1 tsp chili powder |
salt |
Directions:
1. Wash the red snapper or other fish and gently pat dry with paper towels. 2. Cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces and then set aside. 3. Mix together the paprika, cumin, fennel seeds, chili powder and a pinch of salt. 4. Coat the fish with the dry ingredients. 5. Place the fish into a wok with 2 T of the Wok Oil and stir-fry for about 5 minutes on each side until browned. 6. Add the yogurt and continue to stir-fry the fish pieces for about 3 more minutes. 7. Serve over steamed rice or bulghur wheat. 8. Serve immediately. |
