Adapted from Cookbook of Foods from Bible Days. Ingredients:
1/2 cup cooking oil |
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander |
6 trout |
3 onions, sliced |
6 parsley sprigs |
salt (optional) |
pepper (optional) |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Brush a little of the cooking oil on the grill grate. 2. Add coriander to remaining oil. 3. Brush oil mixture over the fish, inside and out. 4. Place some onion slices and a sprig of parsley inside each fish. 5. If desired, season with salt and pepper. 6. Combine remaining oil mixture with lemon juice. 7. Cook on oiled grill until browned and cooked through, about 7 minutes per side. |
