Firni Or Rice Flour Pudding

This is a traditional recipe . Can be flavoured with mango, fig, custard , apple, etc. Can use molasses instead of sugar .
Ingredients:
1 lr milk
1/2 c uncooked rice
1 1/2 c sugar
2 cardamoms
10 almonds
15 pistachios
1 tsp screwpine leaves ( pandan ) essence
edible silver leaves for garnishing
Directions:
1. Soak the rice for 3 hours .
2. Drain water and dry thoroughly .
3. Powder it using a mixer .
4. Bring the milk to boil , stiring all the time .
5. Add the sugar and rice .
6. Stir for 15 mins until thickened .
7. Remove from heat .
8. Add the essence and the nuts
9. Garnish and chill for 2 hrs before serving
