Firehouse chili 1 serving is around 8 oz in weight 1 serving for women and 2 servings for men Ingredients:
16 oz extra lean ground beef |
1 medium (2-1/2 dia) onions |
1 clove garlic |
1 medium green bell pepper |
14 oz beans, pinto, mature seeds |
28 oz tomatoes, red, ripe |
1 tsp oregano, ground |
1/2 tsp cumin |
1/2 tsp pepper, black |
1 serving cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in non-stick dutch oven, or large pon along with onion,garlic and green pepper over medium heat until beef is fully cooked. dreain off any excess oil. 2. Add spices and beans stire together for 1 minute. 3. Add tomatoes and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer on low for 10-15 minutes stirring occasionaly. |
