This was on the news as a way to fire proof your childrens' Halloween costumes, which are notoriously flammable. This recipe is from Washington Hospital Center. Ingredients:
4 ounces boric acid |
9 ounces borax |
1 gallon warm water |
Directions:
1. Combine boric acid and borax. 2. Dissolve the mixture in a bucket containing 1 gallon of warm water. 3. Soak the costume in the mixture until fully saturated. 4. Allow costume to drip dry. |
