This is a very easy bread recipe. And isn't it nice to have homemade bread? Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
3/4 cup whole wheat flour |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 cup shortening |
1 cup buttermilk |
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients. 2. Cut in shortning, until course crumbs. 3. Add milk; mix just until dough is wet. 4. Knead on floured surface 5-6 times. 5. Pat onto ungreased 12in pizza pan. 6. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes, until golden. 7. Cool. |
