This is a simple holiday treat. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups filberts, chopped |
1 1/2 cups brown sugar |
1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine |
1 (12 ounce) package nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Spread chopped nuts in a lightly greased 13 x 9 baking pan. 2. Boil brown sugar and butter for 5 minutes. 3. Pour this caramel mixture over nuts and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. 4. Let cool and cut into squares. |
