This came from Is It Done Yet ? I have not tried this, just posting for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1/4 cup onion, chopped |
2 tablespoons red bell peppers, finely chopped |
3 tablespoons picante sauce or 3 tablespoons salsa |
2 teaspoons dijon-style mustard |
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish (optional) |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
4 hamburger buns with sesame seeds |
1 leaf lettuce |
sliced tomato |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix ground beef with onion, red pepper, picante sauce, mustard, horseradish, salt and pepper. Form into burgers, about 3/4 -inch thick. 2. Place burgers on grill that has reached medium-high heat. Check each burger with a food thermometer after approximately 10-15 minutes. Turn burgers as needed. 3. Place burgers on buns and top with condiments and garnishes of choice. |
