From a box of vermicelli year ago. Ingredients:
5 ounces vermicelli |
16 ounces stewed tomatoes, chopped |
1 teaspoon sugar |
3 tablespoons olive oil or 3 tablespoons bacon drippings |
1/3 cup onion, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in heavy skillet. Saute onion and green pepper. 2. Add uncooked vermicelli and add saute over medium flame, stirring constantly until golden brown. 3. Add tomatoes and sugar, cover and steam for about 8 minutes or until vermicelli is bitey tender but still firm. 4. Salt and pepper to taste. |
