This is a rich, elegant, and Oh-so-easy pasta that you can serve as an appetizer or, as a main dish. Ingredients:
2 cups heavy cream |
3 -4 ounces smoked salmon (chopped or flaked into 1/2-inch pieces) |
1 lb fresh fettuccine (egg or spinach) |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
fresh ground black pepper (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Combine the cream and the salmon in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW until very hot , 1-2 hours. 2. Meanwhile, cook the fettuccine in boiling water until tender to the bite. Take care NOT to over cook. Toss with olive oil if the pasta is to stand for over 5 minutes. Add the fettuccine to the hot sauce and toss to coat evenly. 3. Garnish with a few grinds of black pepper and serve immediately. |
