Fettuccine With Ham and Cream |

This is the perfect, quick, family-pleaser recipe that I just know you will like. Ingredients:
4 ounces prosciutto, crudo or 4 ounces other unsmoked ham (raw or cooked) |
1/4 cup butter |
2 shallots, very finely chopper |
2/3 cup heavy cream |
12 ounces fettuccine |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
salt and pepper |
fresh parsley (to garnish) |
Directions:
1. Cut the fat from the ham and chop both lean and fat parts seperately into small squares Melt the butter in a medium frying pan and add the shallots and the squares of ham fat. 2. cook until golden. 3. Add the lean ham, and cook for 2 more minutes. 4. Season with black pepper. 5. Stir in the cream. 6. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the directions on the package. 7. Drain and pour onto a warm serving dish. 8. Toss with the sauce. 9. Stir in the cheese and serve immediately, garnish with a sprig of parsley. |
