Cream cheese and milk replace the heavy cream in this classic, velvety smooth pasta sauce flavored with Parmesan cheese. Ingredients:
4 ounces cream cheese, cubed |
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
3/4 cup milk |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1/4 teaspoon white pepper |
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder |
8 ounces fettuccine, cooked, drained |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Mix cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, milk, butter, white pepper and garlic powder in medium saucepan; cook on low heat until cream cheese is melted and mixture is well blended. 2. Toss with hot fettucine. Sprinkle with nutmeg. |
