This is a favorite in my house, definitely not low-cal so it's an occasional treat. Ingredients:
8 oz fettuccine |
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter |
1 clove chopped garlic |
1-1/4 cups light cream or half &half, divided |
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1/4 tsp pepper |
dash salt |
Directions:
1. Cook fettuccine according to package directions. 2. Drain; cover and set aside. 3. In large skillet melt butter over medium heat; add garlic, saute for 1 minute. 4. Stir in 3/4 cup cream or half & half. 5. Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat 2-3 minutes. 6. Add fettuccine to skillet. 7. Stir in remaining 1/2 cup cream or half and half, cheese, pepper and salt; cook, stirring, 1 minute. 8. If desired, serve with additional cheese and pepper. |
