This is a family favorite. Ingredients:
1 (10 ounce) package fettuccine pasta (fresh or dry) |
1 cup table cream (10%) |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped |
Directions:
1. Prepare noodles following the package directions. Drain pasta, saving some of the pasta water, keep hot. 2. In a separate pan, combine the butter, cheese, milk, salt and pepper and heat, but do not boil. (This can also be done in the microwave). 3. Toss the hot noodles with the cheese mixture and fresh parsley to coat well. Add some of the reserved pasta water if mixture is too thick. 4. Serve immediately, adding more grated cheese if desired. |
