Festival Strawberry Salad |

A sweet and light summer salad that's super simple and always a hit! Ingredients:
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1/4 cup vinegar |
2 tablespoons sugar |
10 drops red pepper sauce |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 dash black pepper |
1 head lettuce |
2 cups strawberries |
11 ounces mandarin oranges, drained |
1/4 cup sliced almonds |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 teaspoon sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix the dressing ingredients together, well, and set aside. 2. Slice strawberries into quarters and combine with lettuce and oranges in a large bowl. 3. Combine almonds and sugar in a small skillet and heat over low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour onto waxed paper to cool. Break into small pieces. 4. Pour dressing over salad and toss. 5. Top with almonds and serve. |
