This is my equivalent of Campbell's soup, without the high sodium content and other additives. It's not fancy, but the fresh garlic packs a punch and there are hardly any dishes left over! Ingredients:
1/4 cup couscous |
1 teaspoon vegetable stock powder or 1 teaspoon chicken stock powder |
1/4 cup frozen shrimp |
1/4 cup frozen peas |
1 clove garlic |
1 1/2 cups boiling water |
fresh ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Put the couscous, stock powder, shrimp and peas in a soup bowl. 2. Pour in the boiling water and stir briefly to dissolve the stock powder. 3. Grate the garlic directly into the soup bowl, using a fine grater. 4. Cover and let stand for five minutes. 5. Grind in some black pepper and enjoy. |
