Most tables welcome biscuits! Hot tender biscuits, steamin' from the oven, spread with butter are hard to beat. Even harder to beat, when spread with honey, jelly, jam, or preserves. Not to even mention gravy. Read more . Some kind of good! Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2-3/4 cup heavy whipping cream |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1/2 stick melted butter |
Directions:
1. Grease a 10 inch cake pan with Crisco, set aside 2. In large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder and sugar 3. Stir the ingredients with a fork 4. In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of heavy cream and the sour cream 5. Add the cream mixture to the dry ingredients, slowly 6. Mix lightly with a fork 7. Gather the dough together by hand 8. If it doesn't completely come together, add a little more of the heavy cream until it does 9. Pat the dough into a ball 10. Roll it out on a lightly floured board, forming a disc 11. With a biscuit cutter, cut into 12 biscuits 12. Dip both sides of each biscuit in melted butter 13. Place them in the prepared pan with sides touching 14. Place in a 400 degree oven for about 13-15 minutes or until lightly browned |
