From Mrs. Nolan at Madison Middle School. Ingredients:
3 slices soft bread |
1 cup milk |
2 eggs |
1 -1 1/2 lb ground beef |
1/4 lb ground pork or 1/4 lb veal |
1/2 cup minced onion |
1 1/4 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper, mustard, sage, celery powder, garlic powder and salt (add more of each if you like) |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
green olives |
catsup or tomato paste |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350*. Tear bread into pieces and put in large mixing bowl. Mix and knead all ingredients, except olives and tomato paste. Form lightly into loaf shape and place in shallow baking pan. Push in the olives all over the loaf and lightly pinch the holes closed. Cover with tomato paste; bake 1 hour. |
