An easy to prepare meatloaf that is tasty and easy to double, triple, etc. It's a combination of a few different meatloaf recipes I've tried. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 egg, beaten |
1 cup tomato sauce |
2 teaspoons garlic powder |
2 tablespoons light soy sauce |
1/2 teaspoon sea salt |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
minced onion, if you wish to your preference |
3 dashes of your favorite hot sauce |
1/4-1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
prepared lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. Combine the meat with the spices and liquid ingredients (and optional onions), then add the bread crumbs until you get a consistency that will shape into a loaf nicely. 3. Grease a loaf pan and place the meatloaf inside. Do not press it in to fit the pan! By not doing this you can drain excess oil while it is cooking. 4. Place it in the oven and set your timer for thirty minutes. 5. Prepare the glaze. Baste meatloaf with glaze after first thirty minutes. 6. Bake for another 20 minutes, baste again, and bake for another ten minutes. 7. Check for doneness in middle before serving. |
